Pink

Alecia Beth Moore, better known as Pink, is an actress, singer and songwriter. She was born September 8, 1979 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She has become a worldwide success and sold over 30 million albums.

The Pink nickname came from a couple situations. The primary reason was as a child when her pants were pulled down and she was so embarrassed that her face had turned a pinkish color. The second one was from her resemblance to Mr. Pink from “Reservoir Dogs.”

Once she started her career at the age of 13, it began with talent shows and singing performances. Her solo career was launched by LaFace Records, where her first single "There You Go,” was created off of her first album. Following her first success were a string of huge successes. In April 2000, the album “Can’t Take Me Home" went platinum. She was on a lot of soundtracks, including a track with Lil Kim and Mya for the film “Moulin Rouge!” She has even won many awards, including an MTV Video Music Award and a Grammy award. In 2002, she also had a role in several films, including the futuristic “Roller Ball.” ‘N Sync and Janet Jackson is a couple of the major artists she has toured with.

Although she had become a very successful songwriter, she still fells there is more to do. She even song backup vocals for artists like Diana Ross and 98 Degrees. Her fifth album "Funhouse" is her latest release. This album became certified platinum in October 2008.
